Daily News recommend to reduce power consumption between 5pm and 8pm. The technology for multipower injection and peak power gas turbines was ignored by EDF over years. The High voltage Grid needs substations for injection of distributed power sources to avoid blackout. EDF has a delay of 10 years in Smart grid knowledge and technology compared to leading US and german companies. The management of information Google style and DER distributed power management a challenge to be solved by Int'l players. EDF has to open the market for competititon. The old EDF monopoly costs the region PACA it's reputation as High tech region with center Sophia Antipolis; sensitive to computer failures caused by power breaks.

 La France a donc déjà mis sur la table 75 % des sommes consacrées à relancer son économie. Cela signifie qu'elle dispose pour 2010 de moins de ressort que l'Allemagne par exemple qui n'en a consommé que 25 %..

Quels seront les chantiers emblématiques de la relance cette année ?

Les 1200 chantiers ont été lancés l'an dernier et rien de nouveau, formellement n'est prévu. Parmi les plus empblématiques, je retiens les 50 millions d'euros consacrés au tunnel de Fréjus mais surtout le lancement en mars de la construction d'un bateau de projection et de commandement qui servira à lutter contre la piraterie maritime. Il sera réalisé par les chantiers de Saint-Nazaire, pour un coût de 420 millions d'euros et mploiera 1700 personnes. D'une façon générale, il nous reste en ce début d'année à accélerer les chantiers qui sont en retard. Je pense notamment aux CHS qui ne vont pas assez vite ou à certains logements Outre-Mer.

Societe ecologique francaise ?

Après l'échec du Sommet de Copenhague, l'offensive écologique du gouvernement vient d'en prendre encore un coup avec le rejet du texte de loi créant la taxe carbone. Le Conseil constitutionnel a jugé que les exemptions à cette taxe étaient contraires à l'objectif de lutte contre le réchauffement climatique et surtout créaient une rupture de l'égalité devant l'impôt. Les exonérations (routiers, pêcheurs, agriculteurs... ) sont jugées trop importantes.

The first reactor will be completed in 2017 to produce power and the others will be completed by 2020, the Korean presidential Blue House also said in a statement.

Rapidement, EDF, GDF Suez, Total, Areva, Vinci et Alstom ont «pris acte» de la décision émiratie, soulignant la qualité de leur offre et «l'avance de l'EPR en matière de sûreté» des ajustements de prix, jusqu'à 10% moins cher, qui n'ont pas suffi.

The framework agreement that was just signed calls for launching a new 50-50 joint venture company by mid-2010, with the goal to first focus on bidding electrical power systems and services for China’s new C919 — a narrow-body, single aisle plane designed to carry 168 passengers. It’s set to enter service in 2016.

The new avionics company, to be headquartered in China, will offer fully integrated, open architecture avionics and services for future commercial aircraft programs, not just those made by China. Lorraine says the joint venture will create approximately 200 jobs in the U.S., and that after the company has bid for the COMAC C919, they’ll then focus on systems for “the next generation of Boeing and Airbus products.”  Read more >

Le constructeur Safran allié à l'Américain General Motors GE dans une co-entreprise baptisée CFM a ainsi remporté un contrat pour la fourniture de moteurs au futur plus gros avion de ligne chinois, le futur C919, concurrent de l'A320 de l'Européen Airbus et du 737 de l'Américain Boeing.

 

Interrogé par le journal économique "Les Echos", le président du directoire de Safran estime que ce contrat sur 30 ans avec la COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) pourrait rapporter jusqu'à 15 milliards de dollars (environ 10,5 milliards d'euros) à son groupe.

 This bullishness in India is hardly surprising. Alcatel-Lucent has seen revenues from India grow at over 50% over the past couple of years. A large part of this has come from its presence in the fibre optic space. And Alcatel-Lucent says growth in this space is also set to soar.

“Fibre optic has grown by 5% last year. But globally, considering our presence in fibre optic, we think in India we will achieve 10-15%,” says Mohan.

In the immediate future, it hopes to bag a substantial chunk of a USD 2 billion contract to build a 40,000 kilometre alternate communication network for the defence forces.

La France finance la Chine nucleaire avec 1.6 milliard euros (Angleterre 25 milliard euros)

La TNPC, formée pour 30% par EDF et 70% par la China Guangdong nuclear power group (CGNPG), qui fait partie de CGNPC, sera en charge de la construction et de l'exploitation durant 50 ans de ces deux EPR situés à Taishan, dans le sud de la Chine.

L'investissement d'EDF dans cette coentreprise est de 600 millions d'euros selon le quotidien Les Echos.
